I’M DRAWN TO CROSSFIT BUT I’VE HEARD IT CAN BE SCARY AND DANGEROUS… ARE YOU GOING TO YELL AT ME AND MAKE ME WORK OUT UNTIL I PUKE OR PEE MY PANTS?
We love CrossFit, but the truth is that the way some other gyms implement its principles and programme is reckless.
This isn't exclusive to CrossFit though. In every sport and fitness program there are better ways to assess people's starting point and build them up, and there are silly ways to do it.
Just as you wouldn't start learning to ski on a black diamond and you wouldn't try to swim across lake Ontario in your first swimming lesson, in fitness/CrossFit when the right steps and progressions are followed, you will advance steadily for a very long time.
We don't believe in working out until you pee your pants just because it's hardcore.
We teach proper form, progress people with a proven system to make sure they work at the right level, stay injury free, and progressively expand their limits when the time is right. That's how you get truly fit and stay that way.
AM I FIT ENOUGH TO JOIN THE GROUP CLASSES?
I KNOW THAT INDIVIDUALIZED TRAINING IS THE BEST OPTION FOR ME, BUT I'M WORRIED ABOUT THE PRICE.
Individualized training is more expensive than our small group training option, but you get a lot more too. It really is the gold standard - the absolute best way to progress in the short and long term. You'll be working with experienced experts who are 100% committed to getting you to your goals.
You'll be paying a bit more, but if this is the right fit for you, in the long run you'll be better off. You'll actually maintain your results instead of bouncing back and forth from program to program, from diet to diet, trying to find something that will stick.
WHAT IS PALEO AND DO I HAVE TO BE IT?
